Agrivoltaics involves installing solar panels at height or in mobile structures, above or alongside agricultural crops, without blocking useful light, while:

CAV II — Phase 2 Key Details
- Total cumulative capacity: 40 MW for Mauritius, 2 MW for Rodrigues
- Eligible installations: capacity between 500 kW and 4 MW (hybrid solar PV + BESS)
- Open to registered planters and fermiers only
- Applications submitted at any CEB Customer Service Centre from 15 December 2025
- Scheme operates under the principle of gross metering
